Service Terms, Payments & Cancellations

Effective September 15, 2026

The short version: Cancel at least 48 hours before a confirmed session for a refund or reschedule. A late cancellation may be rescheduled once. A no-show forfeits the payment.

1. Services and agreements

Housewise Studios provides residential design, decorating and home-organization services. The description on the applicable service page, accepted proposal or other written agreement defines the work included. If a project-specific agreement conflicts with these general terms, the project-specific agreement controls.

2. Design scope

Housewise Studios provides design intent and recommendations. Services do not include architectural, engineering, permit or construction documents unless expressly stated in a written agreement. Licensed contractors and trades are responsible for verifying measurements, quantities, code requirements, site conditions and installation details before purchasing or building.

3. Payments

Fixed-price consultations are due in full when purchased.
Custom projects follow the deposits, retainers and payment milestones stated in the accepted proposal or invoice.
Scheduling and work begin after the required payment and requested project information are received.
Payment transactions are processed by PayPal. Housewise Studios does not receive or store your full payment-card details.

4. Design Direction session

The $295 Design Direction service includes one 90-minute session in a Sarasota-area home or by video, a concise written recap and one clarification related to that recap within seven days. It does not include drawings, product sourcing, purchasing or revision rounds unless separately agreed in writing.

5. Cancellations and rescheduling

48 hours or more before the confirmed session: You may request a full refund or reschedule.
Less than 48 hours before the confirmed session: The payment is nonrefundable, but you may reschedule the session one time without an additional fee, subject to availability.
No-show: If you do not attend or are unavailable for the confirmed session without notice, the payment is forfeited. A new booking and payment are required.
If Housewise Studios cancels: You may choose a full refund or a new session date.

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. The payment provider controls how long the credit takes to appear.

6. Client responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate project information, timely decisions and safe access to the property when an in-home visit is scheduled. Measurements supplied by you or a third party must be verified before purchases, fabrication or installation.

7. Products, pricing and third parties

Product availability, pricing, lead times and contractor availability can change. Housewise Studios cannot guarantee third-party performance, pricing, stock or a particular construction or resale outcome.

8. Deliverables and use

Design deliverables are licensed for your personal use on the identified project. They may be shared with the contractors and vendors working on that project, but may not be resold, republished or used for another property without written permission.

9. Photography and publicity

Housewise Studios will request separate permission before using identifiable photos of your home for marketing or portfolio purposes.
